Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity unites visions with Nicor Gas to create a sustainable, smart, and affordable community by  building energy efficient, net zero homes. 

Fox Valley Habitat has partnered with Nicor Gas and Southern Company to develop a Smart Neighborhood™ housing community in Aurora, IL. Both organizations believe that owning a home is the pathway to strength, stability and independence. 

The planned community will have 17 affordable single-family net zero homes equipped with a combination of renewable, electric, and natural gas technologies. Eligible residents will enjoy freedom from expensive mortgages and high energy bills, while reducing their carbon footprint.
